I started at Northwestern Mutual, Compuware and Centare then cofounded Newance, an advisory firm. Newance worked with teams like Seven Seven Six, KKR and Voyager. Newance was acquired by Hirewell in early 2026.

Today I write on the forces shaping companies, capital and work. Yes, including AI but it’s rarely the whole story.

One trend that never goes out of style is great judgment. I’m building Phronesis, a curated lab to become the name people say when “good judgment” comes up.
